Loose Thread

The story behind a loose thread.
The Graphic Novel Loose Thread focuses on the life of a seamstress in a sweatshop.
A thread that origins from a cheap t-shirt, tells her story. This thread connects the illustrations instead of panels, it works like a never-ending stroke.
Another special feature of the Graphic Novel it is not in need of any words. The whimsical line drawings let the reader not only dive into the forgotten dreams but also into the exhausting working life of the young woman: High pressure, rare eating- and toilet breaks, followed by long working hours and a tight wage that makes it hard to survive off.
Unrelated doodles next to the style drafts for the graphic novel surprisingly were the inspiration for the final style I went with.
All the line drawings were painted with ink on paper, and in the next step scanned and put together in Photoshop.
